Berlin | Looking for the best Streetfood-Markets?

October, 2015

After moving from Paris to Berlin it was clear that I wouldn’t survive without my beloved cheese and spending my Sundays on food markets. No need to worry as Berlin offers a variety of local markets and a wide culinary scene! My favorite one is Saturday’s market at Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain where you can find regional products and many excellent cheese. Don't miss Oma's Rollender Backofen, the only one who can compete against my grandmom's homemade cakes!

Recently I discovered food projects such as Thursday evenings’ Streetfood at Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg and Neue Heimat in Friedrichshain. Beginning of October Stadt-Land-Food-Market took place in the streets surround Markthalle Neun. You could find fairly produced and traded local specialties and a variety of multicultural dishes. Here are some of my favorite food stands that fulfilled my culinary dreams: delicious cidre-marinated beef on toast at Comptoir du Cidre, Spaetzle Lovers will adore Heisser Hobel, you'll find the most incredible variety of cheese at Knippenbergs, La Käserie, Kunst und Käse and many more. Don't miss Cheese Berlin taking place at Markthalle Neun beginning of November. Enjoy and explore Berlin's Streetfood Markets!
