East London | Scoop the best places in Shoreditch

July, 2015

London is cool but big, so here my recommandations to scoop the best places on a weekend trip around Shoreditch: Brick Lane – Saturday or Sunday, it’s busy but amazing, lots to see and buy. Shoreditch – check out the Box Park shops, the area around The Boundary (Redchurch Street), the ACE Hotel and The Albion Café. Also pass by Hoxton Square and Old Street which are all a walk away. I really can’t recommend this one enough, Columbia Road Flower Market on a Sunday is just the best, great atmosphere, a real slice of East London. Spitlefields Market – great places to eat here and on Saturdays there is a market indoors. If you look for Indian food, try Dishoom in Shoreditch, the cue is long but the food is worth it! For those who are into art, stop by the Whitechapel Gallery (at the bottom of Brick Lane). The best start in the morning you will get at Exmouth Coffee.

Things you shouldn't miss:
East Fish & Chips – try Poppies which is opposite Spitlefields Market
Drink in a London pub – there are loads around Shoreditch, my favourite is on Columbia Road, The Royal Oak and also the Cat & Mutton
The tube is a hateful beast and it is dirty and smelly. Walk if you can. It’s a much better way to see the city!
If it's sunny walk to the top of Primrose Hill, it’s stunning, great views and a charming area

Have fun and explore East London!
